WOKING ATHLETIC CLUB

Membership

Woking Athletic Club membership offers outstanding value — combining expert coaching, year-round access to facilities, and the opportunity to compete, develop, and belong to a thriving athletics community.

For a single annual fee, members benefit from structured training, qualified coaching, and access to multiple disciplines — making athletics one of the most cost-effective ways to stay active, challenge yourself, and be part of a team.

Membership benefits include:

  • Exclusive use of the track on club nights

  • Additional access to the track on other evenings and weekends

  • Coaching from qualified volunteer coaches across all levels

  • Training groups ranging from beginners to national-level athletes

  • The opportunity to compete for the club in our iconic orange and green vest

Whether your goal is fitness, competition, or long-term development, Woking AC offers far more than just training sessions — it offers community, progression, and support.

Woking AC Academy

The Woking AC Academy introduces young athletes to the sport in a fun, supportive, and development-focused environment. Its aim is to build strong foundations across all athletics disciplines, helping children develop skills, confidence, and a love for the sport.

The Academy is not designed as general fitness training for other sports. Instead, it focuses on core athletic skills that allow young athletes to explore different events as they grow.

Training details:

  • Ages: 9–11

  • Sessions: Monday evenings, 6:30pm–8:00pm

  • Runs year-round, excluding bank holidays and September

  • Winter training resumes in October

We follow the UK Athletics 365 training programme, ensuring age-appropriate, balanced development without early specialisation or over-training.

Academy athletes are encouraged to compete for the club, with opportunities including:

  • Cross country

  • Sportshall indoor competitions

  • QuadKids track and field

Academy trials & entry

Entry to the Academy is via a trial process for athletes aged 9, 10, or 11 who have not yet reached their 12th birthday. Trials are held no more than twice per year and include sprinting, running, jumping, and throwing activities.

Where demand is high, a waiting list may apply. We aim to be transparent and fair, ensuring every athlete is given the best possible introduction to the club.
